For depresion, yes. But as for chronic fatigue I hav had any luck with any thing else. I'm going to have blood work done this week. Docter is checking my B-12 and d levels. Then I'm going to start taking vitimuns to see if I can get more energy. I'm hoping that well help me with my chronic fatigue. The fatigue holds me back from so much in life. My depression is controled with prozac, welbutrin and abilifiy.
try dexidrine which is and older and safer version of riddlin. it got me through college and law school. it won't treat depression but it will give you energy
I AM NEW ON HERE N NOT SURE WHICH GROUP I SHOULD EVEN B N.I HAVE A LOT OF THESE PROBLEMS FROM CHRONIC FATIGUE,DEPRESSION,FIBROMYALGIA PAIN TO FAMILY RELATIONSHIP ISSUES.IT'S ALL A LITTLE CONFUSING.ANY SUGGESTIONS ANYONE?
I'm new also and have several physical as well as mental health issues. I've joined the following groups; Fibro-Diabetes-IBS-Menopause-Obesity-PTSD and weight loss. I feel a definate connection to the ladies in the Fibro group. They've made me feel welcome. I've mostly just been reading posts in the other groups except depression. I hope you will give at least one of these groups a chance.
If you are suffering from an unknown source for fatigue, you should have your doctor do an MRI to check for Multiple Sclerosis. Fatigue, depression, etc. are just two of the major symptoms of MS.
I have never taken adderall, but I currently take Concerta (Methylphenidate). It's another ADHD med. I've suffered on and off depression for years now and for about two years I went into a pretty deep depression. I finally started seeing a therapist, and ended up seeing a psychiatrist and being put on Zoloft pretty quickly. It has made a world of change. Throughout all this, I have had as you said, chronic fatigue. I would get 12 hours of sleep and still be tired or I would be on vacation and only be able to do fun things (once I wasn't depressed!) for like half of the day, and then I'd be exhausted. I sometimes have trouble concentrating, but mostly because of my fatigue/exhaustion, my psychiatrist started me on Concerta about 6 months after I started on Zoloft. I now take 54mg/day and it is very obvious to me if I forget to take my pills or take the Concerta later in the day. Not sure if taking a different stimulant for your problem would be helpful at all, but it's nice to know there's someone out there with somewhat similar circumstances!
I used to take 30mg a day to deal with my depression-related fatigue. As my tolerance increased, my doctor prescribed me 45mg. I still take the 30mg in the morning, and then 15mg in the afternoon. Have you tried the extended release? I have not, but have heard good things about it.
